Apus uses a rotary push knob — intuitive and tactile, ideal for wet hands. FC, Volcano and RT-X1 use button panels with LCD displays for users familiar with digital menus.
For central-signal seasonal systems (e.g. heat pumps), choose FC FC1D. Its CO terminal accepts a 230V signal and switches mode automatically. Apus, Volcano and RT-X1 do not support this.
For large rooms or open spaces driven by one thermostat, choose Apus RT-A1 — it controls up to 5 thermal actuators. For standard single-actuator zones, all models apply. For central multi-room control, integrate Apus, FC or Volcano with the base station.
If heating should follow a weekly schedule, or the thermostat must control electric circuits, choose RT-X1 Ascent. It runs a 7-day (5+2) program with six segments per day and switches up to 16A (3680W).

Yes. With a 16A switching capacity and 3680W maximum load, it controls water underfloor heating via actuators or valves, and drives electric circuits directly or via a contactor. Confirm connected load does not exceed 16A.
It runs a 7-day program in 5+2 format (one schedule for weekdays, a separate one for weekends). Each day has six time/temperature segments. You can switch to 6+1 in advanced settings; temporary manual override holds your temperature until the next segment.
Yes. All models are designed for water underfloor heating and are compatible with Legom thermal actuators (M30 x 1.5, NC and NO) as well as standard third-party actuators. NTC sensors support internal air sensing and external floor-probe sensing.
The base station is a central controller connecting all room thermostats in a multi-zone system, managing heat-source start-up from aggregated zone demand. Without it, each thermostat runs independently. You need it for centralised demand management and to coordinate changeover signals. Apus, FC and Volcano are compatible.
